Mobile Car Inspection in Germany

Preparation (Vorbereitung)

We contact the owner or dealership and agree on the exact time and details of the inspection.

Document check (Dokumentenprüfung)

• Zulassungsbescheinigung Teil 1 & 2 — registration documents: authenticity check
• HU/TÜV — validity and inspection station
• Fahrzeughalter — verification of actual number of previous owners
• Serviceheft — service history book, original invoices for repairs and servicing
• COC-Zertifikat — certificate of conformity check
• FIN/VIN-Nummer — chassis number, sticker and document cross-check

Under the bonnet (Motorraum & Kaltstart)

• Kaltstart — cold start: we listen to the engine without warming up, checking timing chain noise
• Optik & Befestigungen — headlights, bolt condition and panel fixings — signs of panel removal
• Technischer Zustand — oil and coolant leaks, overall engine bay condition and fluid levels

Body and undercarriage (Karosserie & Unterboden)

• Karosserie — full body check: panel gaps, repaint detection (Nachlackierung), chips, dents, scratches
• Unterboden — detailed underside inspection for rust (Rost) and structural damage

Wheels and suspension (Räder, Bremsen & Fahrwerk)

• Reifen & Felgen — each wheel inspected, tread depth (Profiltiefe) and wear pattern
• Bremsanlage — brake disc and pad remaining thickness
• Fahrwerk — visual inspection of suspension components

Interior and boot (Innenraum & Kofferraum)

• Interieur — overall condition, seats, steering wheel, dashboard with ignition on
• Innendetails — centre console, headlining, door sills
• Kofferraum — under the boot floor: spare wheel, tools, signs of structural repair

Tow bar (Anhängerkupplung)

If a tow bar is present: detailed inspection of mountings — checking whether it is factory-fitted (ab Werk) or an aftermarket addition (Nachrüstung).

Computer diagnostics (Fahrzeugdiagnose)

• Vollscan — full scan of all control units (Steuergeräten)
• Fehlerhistorie — we read all logged faults from the control unit memory
• Wiederholungsdiagnose — we clear old/inactive errors and re-scan to show only current issues

Live video call with client (Videokonsultation)

Right at the inspection site we connect with you via video call. We show all found Mängel (defects) and inspection results in real time — you see the car as if you were standing right there.

Which listing sites does the inspection cover?

Any of them — mobile.de, AutoScout24, Kleinanzeigen, official dealer websites, private listings. We travel to the physical address where the vehicle is located.

How long does the inspection take?

A full 9-step inspection takes between 1.5 and 3 hours depending on vehicle complexity and findings.

Can I order just the computer diagnostics?

Yes, but we recommend the full inspection — a scan alone doesn't reveal body condition, suspension or documents. The full check gives you the complete picture.

What if the car turns out to be in poor condition?

We fully document all defects with photos and video. You make the decision — buy or walk away. Declining the purchase is completely normal and exactly what the inspection is designed to help with.
